This may seem awkward to read, but it's What Is Art?, Anna Karenina, War and Peace, The Death of Ivan Ilyich and Other Stories, and Hadji Murat are the Tolstoy writings the pair have translated. I did read the Pevear/Volokhonsky translation of Anna Karenina a few years ago; and whilst I can understand and subscribe to the Lingua Franca view of it, I'm not sure that the more literal translation hampered my enjoyment. I learned that there are 3 major translations: constance garnett, lousie and aylmer maude, and richard pevear and larissa volokhonsky.
